Just like teams can register through a form, referees can also register themselves through your website. This reduces your administration compared to managing referee registrations in a separate system.

There are plenty of options for customizing which details referees need to fill in when they register.

All referees who have registered appear inside the system. Here you can see their details and choose to approve or decline each referee.

When you do, you can let the system send automatic emails to the referees to let them know.

For referees there is just as advanced filtering, so you can find every referee who has stated they hold a certain license, or every referee assigned to matches on Sunday.

This filtering is also the basis for email campaigns, so you can choose to email a specific group of referees.

You can let referees choose the times that suit them best to work. For each tournament day they can pick whether they want to work mornings, afternoons or both.

You can then easily take this into account when assigning referees.

Every tournament is different, and you can set up your own licenses for referees to choose between. You can then use these licenses to make assignment easier.

When you assign referees to matches, Cup Manager helps by showing real-time warnings if you accidentally double-book a referee, or give the same referee two matches in different halls too close together in time.

You can also use licenses to control which referees are allowed to officiate certain age groups.

As an extension of the referee system, we've built a solution that lets you assign dedicated referee coaches to evaluate referees' performance in matches and write feedback to help them keep developing.

You decide which criteria should be included in the evaluations.

Evaluations are approved by you at the tournament before they're shown to the referee.

You choose which referee positions should exist within each age group. When assigning, you can easily pick which position each referee is assigned to. This position is shown in the referee's online schedule, so they know what to expect.

The position can also affect referee pay (see below).

Once you've assigned referees to matches, you can send personal emails to every referee with a link so they can see which matches they're officiating.

The link is naturally “live”, so any changes you make in the system are reflected in it right away.

This makes things smooth and reduces misunderstandings.

Sometimes referees swap matches with each other.

Our live results reporting can be handled by the referees themselves or by a match secretariat. Once a match is finished, you can verify that it was indeed the correct referee who officiated it.

This ensures the record of which referee officiated which match is accurate, which is what referee pay is calculated from.

Cup Manager includes a built-in system for calculating referee pay and generating payroll statements.

You can set how much compensation referees receive for different types of matches, depending on age group, whether it was group play or playoffs, the referee's position, and other factors.

The system totals up every match each referee has officiated according to your rules and generates a statement you can use as the basis for their pay.

We think that's pretty smooth!
